Terms of service

These terms cover your use of SpeakItOut, provided by SpeakItOut ("we"). By subscribing you agree to them.

The service

SpeakItOut is software you install on your own computer to send live audio and translations to listeners' phones, plus the online services it uses (license checks, listener links and the TV screen).

Your subscription

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Manage subscription; access continues until the end of the paid month. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.

Your license

Each subscription comes with one license key for your organization. Don't share it outside your organization or try to get around the license check.

AI translation

AI translation uses your own OpenAI account and API key. Your use of OpenAI is governed by OpenAI's terms, and OpenAI bills you directly. Machine translation can be wrong; use human interpreters where accuracy matters.

Your content

Audio, text, logos and images you use with SpeakItOut stay yours. You're responsible for having the right to use them and to broadcast them to your listeners.

Acceptable use

Don't use SpeakItOut to break the law, infringe others' rights, or interfere with the service or other customers.

Availability

We work to keep SpeakItOut running, but it is provided "as is" without warranties. Your venue's Wi-Fi, internet connection and devices are outside our control.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Ending the service

We may suspend accounts that don't pay or that break these terms. You can stop using SpeakItOut at any time.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA.
