This explains what SpeakItOut collects, why, and who it's shared with.

Customers

When you subscribe we receive your name, email, organization name and billing details through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We use this to run your subscription, send your license key and answer support requests.

The app and our servers

The app checks your license with our servers and keeps your listener link working. For that we store your license key, organization name, link name and the time the app last checked in. Listening pages are stored encrypted so that only people with the event's QR code can open them.

Listeners

Listeners don't create accounts and we don't collect their names or contact details. Event audio goes from your computer to listeners' phones over your venue's Wi-Fi and does not pass through our servers. Our servers see a listener's IP address when they open the page, which we use only to prevent abuse.

AI translation

If you turn on AI translation, the speaker's audio is sent from your computer to OpenAI using your own API key, under OpenAI's privacy terms.

Service providers

Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and listener links) and Resend (email). We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Your choices

Ask us anytime to see, correct or delete your information. We keep billing records as long as the law requires.
